Dennekruin Hengeloord is a family-friendly fishing and camping resort located on the banks of the Roodekoppies Dam, which is fed by the Crocodile River. Established in 2000, the resort offers a peaceful retreat for families, anglers and nature lovers. Over the past 25 years, more than R8 million has been invested particularly in controlling the spread of water hyacinth flowing in from the Hartbeespoort Dam in order to ensure the bank is fishable.
Dennekruin was the lifelong dream of Oom Koos, who, along with his wife Tannie Annatjie, started developing the resort in 2000. The land was originally purchased by his father in 1957. The Roodekoppies Dam began construction in April 1979 and was opened during 1986. Today, his daughter Anina and her husband Hendry, along with their children Henco and Anchen, proudly continue to assist in managing and growing the legacy of Dennekruin.
